Good Morning Everyone. Our next brew day will be Saturday, May 25th, 2013. 12 noon start. I'm thinking we should brew a pale ale for the summer months coming up. Please feel free to bring food and beer with you. Please RSVP so we can get a head count for food.
Call or email me with any questions. Thanks.
Good morning everyone. I want to thanks everyone that was able to attend this past Saturday. The weather sucked but we had a good time anyway. The brew went well and the airlock has been bubbling away happily. The beer should be ready in 3-4 weeks. I hope to brew again in a few weeks. This way we will have keep the brewing pipeline full and have plenty of beer to drink and share for the summer. Thanks to Tabatha for taking photos which will be uploaded to the website in the next day or two.
ReplyDelete**There are several members that are past due with dues. Please get them in ASAP so we can get more brewing supplies and equipment.**
The Club has purchased 3 hop rhizomes, so we will eventually have some of our own homegrown hops to brew with in the future. They are currently in pots and will be planted in a bigger planter soon.
There are also 4 new books that the Club purchased. Two are about hops and growing hops and the other two are recipe books that were written by the owners of Maltose Express in Monroe. We now have 350 more recipes to chose from for our brew days. Maltose Express is the brew store that we purchased the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone that we brewed on Saturday. Great place and really helpful staff. The prices and competitive with the online stores and no shipping delays or old product.
Please email or call me with any questions. Thanks again.
